Job Description

Reporting to the National Account Controller – Fresh White Meat, the Trading Manager will play a key role in delivering profitable growth across a defined portfolio of customers. This is a hands-on commercial role, combining day-to-day trading, client management, and ownership of sales performance. Job Responsibility

  • Customer Trading Ownership – Take full accountability for sales performance, volume, range, and profitability across your account base
  • Client Relationship Management – Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers across commercial and supply chain teams (high Telephone contact)
  • Sales Reporting & Insight – Analyse and present trading data weekly, monthly, and quarterly to highlight trends and opportunities
  • Forecasting & Range Management – Maintain accurate volume, price, and range forecasts in collaboration with internal teams
  • Business Development – Proactively research and develop new commercial opportunities to expand Morliny’s UK customer base
  • Internal Collaboration – Support the National Account Controller and act as their delegate when required in meetings or account management
  • Cross-Border Engagement – Travel across the UK and Europe as needed, liaising with international teams and partners

  • Background of being regularly measured against targets and delivered results
  • Excellent telephone-based account management skills and commercial instincts
