Job Description:

Under general supervision of the Building Engineer, accomplishes skilled craftsman level trades related duties in varying types of maintenance, minor construction, and alterations work, i.e. routine repairs, trouble calls, preventative maintenance, renovations, and alterations. Participates in outages, provides input to inspectors and others in coordinating the work of other shops and contractors in assigned zones. Provides indirect supervision of other mechanics and helpers on an as needed basis when more than one employee is needed to complete a task. Must have ability to work different fields of maintenance and to diagnose equipment problems and find solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides indirect supervision of other mechanics and helpers on an as needed basis
  • Makes inspections and correct inspection deficiencies
  • Performs PM’s
  • Completes maintenance work orders
  • Troubleshoots basic mechanical problems, determines and isolates sources of leaks
  • Answers trouble calls in assigned area
  • Administrative duties

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and three years trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment
  • Some positions require a commercial driver's license
  • Some positions require EPA-approved freon recovery certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain EPA Approved Freon recovery certification
