Performs journeyman level carpentry work including indirect supervision of trades workers and helpers. Skills must be sufficient to satisfactorily perform related carpentry projects. Work includes constructing new or repairing existing buildings, walls, windows, doors, bookshelves, casework, etc. Contributes to a team effort and harmonious working relationship with others in the Engineering and Facilities Department and throughout MUSC.

Requirements
A high school diploma
Three years trade experience directly related to the area of employment
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain EPA Approved Freon recovery certification
Physical requirements including ability to perform job functions upright, seated, walking/mobile, climbing, indoors, outdoors in all weather, below ground, from elevated areas, in confined spaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, crawling, possess grip strength, use both hands/arms, perform repetitive motions, use both legs, reach in all directions, maintain tactile and olfactory sensory functions, lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, lift 50 lbs or more assisted, push/pull equipment carts, maintain 20/40 vision corrected, match or discriminate colors, good peripheral vision, maintain hearing acuity corrected, operate winches/come-alongs/jacks, maintain dexterity for hand tools, qualify physically for respirator use
