Reporting to the Supervisor Trades & Trainees, this role operates on a 4:3 FIFO roster across various MinRes remote sites, with occasional metro travel. As a pivotal driver of apprentice and trainee success, you will coordinate programs and mentor participants, ensuring they acquire the technical skills and professional behaviours essential for success. Your daily activities will include conducting regular site visits, facilitating mentoring and review sessions and providing one-on-one support to apprentices and trainees. Acting as the crucial link between the organisation, its leaders, apprentices, trainees, and RTOs (Registered Training Organisations), you will champion our programs to unlock potential and drive performance.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and manage apprentice and trainee programs that are closely aligned with the workforce strategy, regularly reviewing and recommending enhancements to ensure continuous improvement and program relevance
Track apprenticeship completion rates and employment outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness, using these key performance indicators to drive ongoing development
Act as the main point of contact for apprentices, trainees, supervisors and training providers, cultivating strong engagement and communication between all parties
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with RTOs, TAFEs, schools, industry bodies and government agencies to ensure program alignment with current VET policies and industry standards
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, training contracts and organisational policies including maintaining accurate records, reviews and progress reports
Monitor and report on program outcomes, retention and employment pathways, providing clear data to demonstrate program success
Conduct regular formal and informal reviews with apprentices, trainees, and leaders, and facilitate support or adjustments as needed to maximise participant success
Requirements:
Trade Certificate or other relevant mining qualification (Desirable)
Qualification in Training and Assessment or a related field (Desirable)
Experience in Mining Industry
C Class Driver's Licence
Knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) frameworks
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database management systems
Understanding of workforce development strategies and talent pipeline management
