Job Description:

Manuchar is looking for an ambitious Trader to drive the growth of our Pulp & Paper business in West Africa. Based at our headquarters in Antwerp, you will develop strong customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and expand our market presence. You will work in a truly international environment and travel regularly to West Africa and occasionally worldwide. If you are passionate about international sales and enjoy closing deals, this role is your chance to make a real impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and manage a profitable customer portfolio in West Africa
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Negotiate and follow up on international sales and purchase transactions
  • Define the strategic direction for your region and product portfolio
  • Take a hands-on role in solving operational challenges
  • Travel regularly to West Africa and occasionally worldwide

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor degree with minimum 3 years of commercial experience in an international environment
  • experience in the paper industry is a plus
  • Strong passion for international sales with excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Fluency in French & English
  • Dutch is an asset
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled at building relationships across cultures and comfortable with frequent travel
  • Hands-on, solution-driven, and eager to tackle operational issues
  • Based in Belgium, ideally in the Antwerp region

Nice to have:

  • experience in the paper industry is a plus
  • Dutch is an asset
