Job Description:

The Trademark Litigation Paralegal provides semi‑autonomous, complex case support in all phases of trademark litigation—including discovery, TTAB matters, trial, and appeal. This role includes case development, client management, expert coordination, litigation support, and workflow management under the direction of attorneys and the Director of Administration & Legal Support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement case‑management tools (Relativity, Everchron, Westlaw Case Notebook, Case Map, Time Map, etc.)
  • Organize, index, and maintain litigation files
  • Manage docketing within CompuLaw
  • monitor trial calendars
  • Support all phases of TTAB inter partes matters (oppositions, cancellations)
  • Prepare and file: Notices of Opposition
  • Petitions to Cancel
  • Answers, amendments, counterclaims, affirmative defenses
  • Rule 11/Rule 15 support
  • Draft discovery documents, subpoenas, notices of deposition, routine motions, extensions, and stipulations
  • Assist with deposition preparation
  • Manage document production, including reviews, exhibits, privilege logs, and e‑discovery logs
  • Assist with pre-trial orders and client status reports
  • Coordinate litigation support resources
  • Prepare for and attend trials/hearings, including exhibit prep, trial binders, and war room setup
  • Conduct Westlaw research and cite checking
  • Perform trademark enforcement investigations (USPTO and common‑law uses)
  • Capture social media evidence for litigation purposes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of trademark litigation paralegal experience with progressive responsibility
  • Law firm experience required
  • Strong proficiency with: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
  • Litigation support tools (Everchron, Case Notebook, Case Map, Relativity, etc.)
  • Westlaw and electronic research
  • PACER and e‑filing systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Team‑oriented, reliable, detail‑focused, and able to work independently
