Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Trademark Legal Assistant to join a boutique law firm in Northern, VA. In this role, you will provide essential support for trademark-related tasks, ensuring accurate and timely management of filings and deadlines. This is a fully remote position but must be commutable to Alexandria, VA for occasional in office meetings. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and experience handling intellectual property matters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and manage trademark-related calendars to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, and other necessary documents with the USPTO
  • Conduct USPTO searches and assist with trademark prosecution processes
  • Handle e-filing tasks efficiently and ensure compliance with procedural requirements
  • Monitor and update the docketing system to track trademark applications and filings
  • Support billing processes by preparing and maintaining accurate records
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to intellectual property matters
  • Communicate with clients regarding trademark procedures and requirements
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure smooth execution of trademark filing strategies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in trademark prosecution and intellectual property matters
