A highly regarded boutique intellectual property practice is seeking an experienced Trademark & IP Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys a mix of trademark portfolio management, enforcement work, and hands‑on litigation support—and wants meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and a collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, file, and manage U.S. and international trademark applications, including Madrid Protocol filings
Conduct trademark clearance and freedom‑to‑operate searches
prepare reports for attorney review
Draft and file prosecution documents such as Office Action responses, Statements of Use, renewals, declarations, assignments, and amendments
Maintain trademark dockets, deadlines, and portfolio reports
Coordinate with international counsel on foreign trademark matters
Support enforcement activities, including monitoring, investigations, and cease‑and‑desist correspondence
Provide comprehensive paralegal support for trademark and patent disputes, enforcement actions, and administrative proceedings
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, exhibits, and litigation correspondence
Prepare and cite‑check briefs and filings for federal courts, TTAB, PTAB, and other administrative bodies
Manage electronic filings through PACER/CM‑ECF, TTAB Center, ESTTA, and P‑TACTS
Assist with deposition prep, expert materials, hearing logistics, and trial preparation
Communicate directly with clients regarding deadlines, filings, and routine updates
Maintain organized electronic and physical files
Track billable time accurately
Support internal reporting, portfolio reviews, and special IP‑related projects
Requirements:
3+ years of paralegal experience in an IP‑focused or law firm setting
Strong background in U.S. trademark prosecution
Experience supporting IP litigation across trademark and/or patent matters
Proficiency with USPTO systems, CM/ECF, and docketing software
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must reside in the greater Seattle area
