Job Description

The Country Product Manager is responsible for managing a broad range of trade products across various pillars [core trade, supply chain finance and trade and working capital loans] for the mentioned markets. The role involves understand the dynamic market needs and competitive landscape and ensuring that our product suite meets the market requirement. The overall object is to execute the strategy of the region in respective markets, coordinate with the wider Product Management team to develop new products, increase share of market and obtain a competitive position working closely with sales to understand our client needs. * This role will be for North Africa and Levant which includes Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia as well as Pakistan.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute the product strategy in various markets for all product pillars i.e., core trade, supply chain finance and trade and working capital loans
  • Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, and client needs ensuring the readiness of trade products accordingly
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Technology, Compliance etc to implement new products or enhance the existing ones
  • Maintain product documentation, capability grids, policies, and procedures, ensuring all local regulatory requirements are being complied to
  • As a subject matter expert for trade products, providing guidance and training to the sales team
  • Participate in client meetings [where required] to represent the product and gather feedback
  • When needed, work closely with risk management and compliance departments to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with trade products

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the industry, banking, and investment products
  • Working knowledge of different systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function
  • Practical experience of multiple business cycles
  • Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services
  • Working knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the business as well as a solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise
