Our partner is looking for a Trade Operations Manager to lead a team of analysts in managing the full trade lifecycle across various asset classes. Your team will cover everything from trade capture and settlement to complex derivatives, collateral management, and loans. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, managing risks, and maintaining strict regulatory compliance across all processes. A key focus of the role is fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture through active leadership and development. You will act as the primary liaison for critical internal and external stakeholders, including investment teams, brokers, and custodians.
Job Responsibility:
Manage, coach, and develop a team of Trade Operations professionals, ensuring effective coverage across all operational areas
Oversee the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade affirmation & capture, settlement & cashflows, collateral management, margin processes, and support for both listed and OTC derivatives, as well as loans operations
Evaluate new markets, new instruments, new investments and any non-standard, complex requests in line with Operations Governance procedure, liaise internally and partner with service provider to provide solutions and implement necessary operational improvements
Identify, establish, and implement standard methodologies in regard to trade operations
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all trade-related activities, maintaining high standards of data integrity and operational control
Collaborate with Operations Leadership to enhance the operating model, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives
Liaise with portfolio management, technology, compliance, legal, and risk teams to develop and implement robust procedures and protocols
Support and lead operational projects, including the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and system enhancements
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, representing the Trade Operations function in audits and regulatory reviews
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key point of escalation for operational issues
Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Deep understand and experience in the full trade lifecycle (including capture, settlement, collateral, and complex products such as OTC, derivatives, ETDs, and loans)
Previous team leadership experience
A strong grasp of operational risk frameworks and regulatory requirements
Experience with process improvement projects is preferred
Strong communication and relationship management skills
