Job Description:

Our partner is looking for a Trade Operations Loans Analyst to join their Global Operations department in Budapest. You will support the seamless day-to-day operation of secured loans across their full lifecycle. The role ensures the accurate and timely processing of funding events, loan payments, corporate actions, and reconciliations while maintaining strong risk controls and adherence to regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders - including investment teams, brokers, custodians, and technology partners - to resolve issues, support trade activity, and uphold operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process daily loan payments, payoffs, advances, extensions, and renewals with high accuracy
  • Reconcile loan positions and payments daily and resolve any discrepancies promptly
  • Provide timely resolution of inquiries related to loan instruments from internal and external clients including traders, portfolio managers, and custodians
  • Coordinate effectively with traders, brokers, and custodians to ensure smooth processing of transactions
  • Identify, establish, and implement standard methodologies regarding trade operations to ensure consistency
  • Collaborate with Operations Leadership to enhance the operating model, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives
  • Support and lead operational projects, including the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and system enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, assisting with audits and regulatory reviews
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a point of escalation for operational issues
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure best practice and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong experience in the full secured loan lifecycle and agent bank relationships
  • Knowledge of LendAmend, ClearPar, WSO (Aladdin is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of operational risk and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, client-focused mindset and strong teamwork orientation

  • Maintain the Reconciliation and Control functions within the Operations group
  • Work with offshore reconciliations team and internal/external stakeholders on a daily basis to clear breaks and ensure all cash, position and trading accounts are reconciled
  • Responsible for processing certain trade-related activity (fees, transfers, assignments, etc.) and fund financing (leverage facilities, subscription lines, etc.) entries in Advent Geneva general ledger
  • Enter trades into Wall Street Office (WSO) and trade capture systems
  • Set up Agency deals in WSO Agent and assist with other loan operation interfaces with IHS Market services
  • Update and maintain reference data within the security master application for all securities/contracts applicable to the middle market direct lending strategy
  • Review transaction documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy within the loan systems
  • Ensure all loans are rolled and correct rates are set for the next accrual period
  • Serve as bridge between Loan Operations (upstream) and Finance/Accounting (downstream) teams
  • Coordinate and work with outside service providers (servicers, agents, auditors, custodians, third party administrators, etc.) as needed
