Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and qualified Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our Voids Kitchens & Bathrooms team. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will carry out maintenance activities, repairs and planned works across residential properties, public buildings and commercial premises. With over fifty years of experience, we have grown to become one of the UK’s leading social housing providers. Citizen owns and manages 30,000 homes for diverse communities across the West Midlands, from urban tower blocks to rural villages and towns.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake works relating to your primary trade (Carpentry) and associated multi-skilled tasks
  • Carry out repairs, installations and refurbishments within void kitchens and bathrooms
  • Ensure all works meet regulatory, compliance and Health & Safety requirements
  • Manage company equipment, materials and van stock in line with procedures
  • Participate in emergency call-out rota (where applicable)
  • Work flexibly between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday

Requirements:

  • Craft City & Guilds or S/NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
  • Advanced Craft City & Guilds or S/NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry
  • CSCS Card (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven ability in all aspects of Carpentry, including fault diagnosis
  • Experience working within social housing (desirable)
