Job Description:

This Director-level role is a senior global position responsible for defining and executing the data strategy and roadmap, aligned with various Lines of Business that act as domain owners for their respective products. The role is pivotal in delivering the Technology Book of Work assigned to Data Strategy, leading Data ART scrum teams as the Trade product representative with Technology and Operations, and ensuring the achievement of Data OKRs as defined by technology investments. This position is crucial for developing and implementing the TWCS data strategy to align with overarching business objectives and foster data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the definition and execution of the Trade Data Strategy and roadmap
  • Manage a team of data managers responsible for delivering the Technology Book of Work
  • Act as the Trade product representative within Data ART scrum teams, collaborating with Technology and Operations
  • Work in partnership with Data Governance team to implement robust data governance model
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to define requirements for data architecture, infrastructure, and tools
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data for business growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced client experience
  • Stay abreast of emerging data technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of data initiatives
  • Lead the creation of TWCS external data services and the self-serve data consumption strategy
  • Drive data-driven decision-making processes by providing insights and recommendations
  • Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders across Business, Technology, Operations
  • Production of internal MI dashboards to support improved decision making
  • Drive data analytics insights to drive business actions and growth

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in data strategy, data management, or related consulting roles within financial services, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to architect and articulate a clear data strategy that directly supports business objectives
  • Deep expertise in establishing and enforcing robust data governance policies, standards, and procedures
  • Proficiency in implementing methodologies and tools for data profiling, cleansing, validation, and continuous monitoring
  • In-depth understanding of data-related regulations and compliance requirements within the financial industry
  • Strong conceptual grasp of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and database technologies
  • Visionary leadership to drive complex data initiatives, inspire teams, and foster a data-driven culture
  • Proven ability to build, lead, mentor, and develop high-performing data management teams
  • Exceptional skills in collaborating with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts, strategies, and insights clearly and concisely to senior management

  • Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and stakeholders to understand data and business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines
  • Understand the data quality issues aligned with that data set including end to end data flows and controls and ensure these are addressed in the defined target state solution with robust controls
  • Work with relevant Citi leadership as well as outside experts to design a target-state control-framework for Price Risk, which meets regulatory expectations
  • Define a strategy to execute against the designed target-state control-framework for Price Risk, including business analysis, data analysis, practical testing and implementation
  • Oversee a project management/SME team to design required actions to implement the target state and track completion of the actions in line with Citi change methodology
  • Identify issues and collaborate with stakeholders to generate solutions
  • Work with Control and Internal Audit stakeholders to ensure credible challenge throughout the remediation process and validation of results in line with Citi’s Internal Audit requirements
