Job Responsibility:
Manage the daily operational requirements for import compliance, ensuring all merchandise meets Australian trade laws
Act as the key link between Inbound Logistics, Merchandise Operations, and third-party service providers
Partner with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure a seamless clearance process
Identify potential compliance risks and conduct regular internal audits of trade programs to maintain a 'world-class' service standard
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to keep the supply chain lean and efficient
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years in international trade operations, with a heavy focus on Australian import requirements
Deep understanding of ABF regulations, BICON, and the Minimum Documents Policy
A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or International Trade is preferred
a Diploma in Customs Brokerage is a highly regarded advantage
The ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate them clearly to non-technical teams
Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot root-cause issues in documentation
