We’re now looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at our High Wycombe branch. What You’ll Be Doing Serving trade and retail customers at the counter Processing customer orders and enquiries face‑to‑face and over the phone Recommending products and solutions to meet customer needs Building strong relationships with existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities Resolving customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally Maintaining strong product and technical knowledge Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times Supporting the branch with general day‑to‑day tasks What We’re Looking For Trade counter or plumbing merchant experience DIY, builders’ merchant, or trade background (preferred) Full UK driving licence Good industry and product knowledge Confident communication and customer service skills Basic numeracy skills (addition & subtraction) Ability to prioritise workload and work with minimal supervision Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player Willingness to undertake training and develop in the role Working Hours Week 1: Monday–Friday 07:30-17:15 Week 2: Monday–Friday 07:30-17:15, Saturday 08:00–12:00 What You’ll Get Competitive salary Pension & paid holidays Training and career development opportunities Supportive team environment Staff discount on building materials Employee Assistance Programme Retail discounts via Perks Membership Branded uniform provided Apply Today If you enjoy working with customers, have trade counter experience, and want to be part of a well‑established and growing business, we’d love to hear from you.
