Job Responsibility

  • Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
  • Prepare quotations and process hire orders accurately.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and queries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate the booking, allocation, and scheduling of plant and tool equipment.
  • Manage on-hire, off-hire, extensions, exchanges, and breakdown requests.
  • Ensure accurate input of hire contracts and customer records into the hire system.
  • Monitor equipment availability and utilisation levels.
  • Liaise with workshop, transport, and depot teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in plant, tool hire, or equipment rental.
  • Organised, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong IT Skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Numeracy skills for pricing, invoicing, tracking financial elements.
  • Attention to detail, ability to spot issues.
