A core part of our success is compliance assurance, which enables smooth, secure, and scalable global trade across a vast number of markets. We are looking for a passionate and analytical Trade Compliance Specialist to join our operations group. The ability to manage export and import controls is a critical element in the company’s core services and is a major aspect of the company’s growth, compliance, and international expansion. In this role, you will help safeguard Global-e and its merchants from regulatory exposure and operational disruption, while supporting optimized, compliant global commerce with real financial impact. You will work under the guidance of the Restrictions Team Leader and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Classification, Data Configuration, Product, Account Management, and Project Management.
Job Responsibility:
Monitoring and implementing export control and product restriction policies to ensure business compliance
Extract and analyze restriction-related data at large scale to support compliance monitoring and operational decision-making
Own and improve processes by maintaining high data quality and contributing to continuous data-driven business optimizations in a growing global environment
Support internal and external stakeholders by responding to restriction-related queries, providing guidance, and resolving issues effectively
Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, global environment, delivering results with accuracy and impact
Identify and escalate potential compliance risks and collaborate with relevant teams to mitigate regulatory risk and financial impact.
Requirements:
BSc./BA in Industrial Engineering, Business, Logistics, Law or another quantitative field – required
Strong proficiency in MS Excel – required
Basic knowledge of SQL – required
Fluent English (written & spoken) and excellent communication skills
Experience in Customs and Trade compliance, Harmonized Tariff classification, product restrictions – advantage
Independent, fast learner with a high attention to details and strong analytical skills
Collaborative team player mindset, able to work effectively across teams to achieve department goals.
