Job Description

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Senior Specialist to ensure Vodafone and VOIS operations remain compliant with global trade regulations. The role focuses on investigating escalations from first-line screening, conducting due diligence, and assessing regulatory restrictions to determine appropriate compliance actions. The individual will also contribute to risk mitigation, process oversight, and continuous improvement as a subject matter expert.

Job Responsibility

  • Review and assess escalations from first-line screening, analysing transaction details and contextual data to determine accurate outcomes.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence, including ownership analysis and creation of entity structures.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to validate information and gather relevant data.
  • Evaluate sanctions, export control regulations, and associated business restrictions or licensing requirements.
  • Escalate confirmed cases to relevant compliance leadership for final decisions.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of assessments and decisions.
  • Provide oversight of first-line compliance activities and ensure quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of flagged cases.
  • Stay updated with global sanctions frameworks (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN) and regulatory developments.
  • Support audits and contribute to strengthening compliance processes and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Experienced in trade compliance, risk management, or a related investigative field (typically 3+ years).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Able to assess transactional risks and make informed, evidence-based decisions.
  • Effective in stakeholder collaboration and communication across teams.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as ICA, CGSS, or CAMS are advantageous.
