Job Description:

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure VOIS operations remain compliant with global trade regulations. This role involves validating and investigating escalations from first-line screening, assessing regulatory restrictions, and recommending compliance actions. You will act as a subject matter expert, supporting risk mitigation and maintaining oversight of compliance processes across business units.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review escalations from first-line screening and confirm true hits through detailed analysis
  • Conduct due diligence on entity ownership and control structures, producing accurate organigrams
  • Validate information provided by internal teams and perform regulatory restriction analysis for confirmed matches
  • Escalate true matches to the Trade Sanctions Screening CoE Lead for decisions
  • Document assessments and decisions clearly and accurately
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve flagged cases promptly
  • Stay updated on global sanctions and export control regulations (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN)
  • Support periodic reviews and enhancements of compliance screening processes
  • Execute data control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
  • Resolve queries and maintain work databases correctly
  • Perform additional tasks as required by business needs

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of export control and sanctions regulatory frameworks
  • 3–5 years of investigative experience in compliance or risk management
  • Proven ability to conduct extensive due diligence on complex organisational structures
  • Skilled in interpreting legal provisions and evaluating transactional risks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
