We are currently seeking Trade Compliance Lawyers to work with Axiom clients across various industries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing legal advice on general trade compliance matters, keeping abreast of regulatory changes and ensuring the organization's policies and procedures align with applicable laws
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring trade compliance programs, fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the organization
  • Serving as an advisory resource on sanctions matters, demonstrating experience in handling cases and providing sanctions advice autonomously
  • Reviewing and verifying trade documents, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, classifying products for tariffs, and assisting with applications for export licenses/completing exporter registrations and other regulatory approval
  • Providing export compliance support for Trade Compliance audits

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of post qualification experience within an in-house legal department or law firm supporting trade compliance initiatives
  • Sense of urgency combined with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and cross functionally
  • Authorized to reside and practice law in the UK
