Job Description:

Are you detail-oriented with a passion for global trade regulations? As a Trade Compliance Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring precise product classification and adherence to international trade standards. Maintain Harmonized System (HS) codes, country of origin records, and USMCA certificates to ensure seamless compliance. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of technical specifications, ensuring product data aligns with regulatory requirements. Work closely with product catalogs, supplier documentation, and industry databases to ensure accurate classification and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance trade compliance strategies and optimize processes.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze and interpret technical data related to our exported goods
Update engineering database/archive with accurate product specifications and classification codes
Respond to technical inquiries and provide detailed product information to internal and external stakeholders, including compliance
Collaborate with suppliers to gather missing product data when not available in existing catalogs or databases
Utilize our internal tools for product classification and documentation
Manage and complete classification tables with precise and verified technical data
Identify and report any discrepancies in product specifications or classifications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC/R
Proficient in database management and Microsoft Excel
Ability to interpret complex technical information and industry standards
Excellent research skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers and compliance agencies
