Job Description

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to lead screening activities within the Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role ensures VOIS operations comply with global trade regulations, including sanctions and export controls. You will oversee first and second-line screening, make final determinations on escalated cases, and collaborate with the Group Trade Compliance Team to mitigate risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Job Responsibility

  • Review escalated true matches and assess regulatory risks to determine if business relationships or transactions can proceed
  • Request additional due diligence where necessary and provide recommendations on continuing or ceasing engagements
  • Guide assessments of regulatory restrictions and ensure alignment with Group Trade Compliance standards
  • Escalate high-risk cases to the Group Trade Compliance Team with clear analysis and rationale
  • Oversee calibration of screening systems and workflows to ensure effectiveness
  • Develop guidance and training materials for trade compliance screening
  • Produce management reports on review statistics, response times, and emerging regulatory risks
  • Stay updated on global sanctions and export control lists (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN) and regulatory changes
  • Support periodic reviews and enhancements of screening processes and maintain accurate data control

Requirements

  • Advanced qualification or experience in compliance, law, or risk management
  • Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in trade compliance
  • Strong knowledge of US, EU, and UK sanctions and export control regimes
  • Excellent decision-making and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to maintain regulatory defensibility and audit readiness
  • Desirable: ICA, CGSS, or CAMS certifications
  • Desirable: Experience in shared services or telecom environments
