Job Description

Airswift is currently partnering with a well-established engineering contractor to source Trade Assistants for upcoming workshop assignments based in Henderson WA. This is a great opportunity to join a busy team, with consistent hours and the potential for overtime and weekend work.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist tradespeople with mechanical and workshop tasks
  • Support fitting and maintenance activities across workshop and potential marine/industrial scopes
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • Complete required site and client inductions

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Trade Assistant
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous
  • Working at Heights
  • White Card
  • Confined Space
  • Fire Sentry (preferred but not essential)
  • Competent with completing multiple client inductions if required

  • Handling minor repairs, general maintenance tasks, and assist with preventive upkeep to enhance the overall guest experience
  • Carry out all related maintenance and repairs as requested by the Maintenance Manager in a professional like manner
  • Minor repairs, reprogramming service and fault finding to guest room air – conditioning units, hotel lighting and electronic door locks and room safes
  • Ensure all hotel areas, including guest rooms, offices, conference and function areas, and external areas to the property are maintained and cared for on a timely basis as directed by management
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and security of all tools provided
  • Carry out all preventative maintenance as per the schedule laid by the programmed maintenance manuals
