Job Description

Based in the Northern Territory, Ayers Rock Resort is the largest integrated resort complex in the southern hemisphere! An experienced and passionate Trade Assistant to join our Hotel Maintenance team at Ayers Rock Resort. In this role you will maintain the hotel's facilities and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order to provide a safe and pleasant environment for guests and staff, handling minor repairs, general maintenance tasks, and assist with preventive upkeep to enhance the overall guest experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain the hotel's facilities and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order to provide a safe and pleasant environment for guests and staff
  • Handling minor repairs, general maintenance tasks, and assist with preventive upkeep to enhance the overall guest experience
  • Carry out all related maintenance and repairs as requested by the Maintenance Manager in a professional like manner
  • Minor repairs, reprogramming service and fault finding to guest room air – conditioning units, hotel lighting and electronic door locks and room safes
  • Ensure all hotel areas, including guest rooms, offices, conference and function areas, and external areas to the property are maintained and cared for on a timely basis as directed by management
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and security of all tools provided
  • Carry out all preventative maintenance as per the schedule laid by the programmed maintenance manuals

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a similar role in hotel/facility maintenance
  • Hold a valid Open Australian Drivers Licence (with the ability to convert to NT)
  • Previous experience using hand tools
  • Hold a valid White Card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Strong commitment to high standard of customer service
  • Have a good level of written and verbal English communication skills
