Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a contract Trade and Promotions Accountant for a short term engagement with one of our CPG clients in Vallejo, CA.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage trade promotion and customer pricing accruals to ensure accurate net revenue and gross margin reporting
  • Review, validate, and reconcile promotional deductions and claims, partnering closely with AR and Sales
  • Analyze accruals versus actuals and perform post-promotion variance analysis to explain performance
  • Support revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance related to variable consideration and promotional activity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Audit to minimize margin leakage and improve controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts receivable
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve disputes and improve processes.
