Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Accountant to join a dynamic team supporting a major energy trading operation in New York. This role is perfect for accounting professionals with 3–5 years of experience who thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS accounting standards
  • Prepare, review, and post recurring journal entries (revenue, expenses, accruals)
  • Investigate trade differences using internal trading software
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
  • Perform variance reporting and ad-hoc analysis as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience (Big 4 CPA experience preferred)
  • Proficiency with financial systems and spreadsheets
  • Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and high integrity
