Job Description

Our Infrastructure Maintenance team currently have permanent full-time opportunities for experienced Trackworkers roles to join our Moranbah team. As part of the Network maintenance division, you will identify and manage defects to mitigate risk and certify that the network operates in a safe and efficient manner, by ensuring asset condition is maintained to the required standard.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide accurate identification of defects to allow early planned intervention in accordance with the Asset Maintenance Planning regime
  • Assess, prioritise and if possible carry out mitigating repairs to allow safe passage of rail traffic in the event of an infrastructure failure
  • Use Aurizon systems to manage information and documentation to maintain compliance to Standards
  • Supervise rail infrastructure works and carry out inspections as required
  • Be apart of a small team ensuring that work is carried out safety and effectively
  • Ensure that safety and performance targets are met by actively promoting safe behaviours

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Railway Infrastructure Worker preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of track maintenance, inspection standards, systems and processes
  • High level of skill in understanding technical aspects of rail infrastructure
  • Open Drivers Licence (HR) preferred
  • Be willing to attend and be available for afterhours callouts

Nice to have

  • Certificate III in Railway Infrastructure Worker
  • Open Drivers Licence (HR)
