We are looking for a specialist Tracked Dumper Operator (Morooka/Crawler) to support a high-profile civil engineering project in the Carlisle area. Due to the challenging terrain and the environmental sensitivity of the sites (often involving river works or utility corridors), we require an operative with a high level of precision and "soft ground" experience. This is a great opportunity to secure a solid run of work with a Tier 1 or leading regional contractor on key infrastructure frameworks.
Job Responsibility:
Specialist Plant Operation: Safe and efficient operation of tracked dumpers in marshy, soft, or uneven terrain to minimize ground damage
Environmental Protection: Working closely with site teams to manage muck-away and material transport near watercourses and sensitive habitats
Utility Support: Assisting with backfilling and aggregate supply for deep drainage and utility trenching
Maintenance: Performing daily plant inspections and maintaining a clean, operational machine in line with site safety standards
Requirements:
Valid CPCS or NPORS Tracked Dumper ticket (A56D or equivalent)
CPCS/NPORS must carry the CSCS Logo
Valid Safety Critical Medical certificate
Proven experience on heavy civils, river works, or wind farm projects
Local to Carlisle or the Cumbria area for a reliable commute
Nice to have:
EUSR Blue Card (Water Hygiene) for utility-specific schemes
What we offer:
Premium Rates: Higher hourly pay reflecting the specialized nature of the plant
Stability: Potential for long-term placements on major regional frameworks
Local Projects: Work on significant infrastructure schemes within the Cumbria region
