Town Treasurer/Collector

• Manage tax billing and collection for real estate, personal property, and excise taxes
• Oversee cash management, borrowing, and tax title administration
• Enforce delinquent tax laws
• Supervise staff, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with GAAP, UMAS, and applicable regulations
• Manage payroll and employee benefit disbursements
• Oversee trust, pension, and stabilization funds
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, business management or related field, masters preferred
• Five years of experience in accounting, banking, and/or general finance
• Two years of supervisory experience, five+ years of progressive managerial experience preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as a Collector and Treasurer by the Massachusetts Collector/Treasurer Association desired
• Must have the ability to be bonded
• Experience with Tyler MUNIS preferred
