Job Description:

The town of Carver seeks qualified and highly motivated candidates for the position of Town Planner. This position serves as the senior in-house resource for all planning and economic development issues and directs the specific functions of the department. The Town Planner performs professional, technical and administrative work in administering planning and land use controls, grants, and in coordinating and shaping both the short and long-range plans and policies related to planning, development and zoning of the community including community development proposals; and other related work as required in managing the department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, business management or related field
  • A minimum of five years of experience in land use or municipal planning
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred or a combination of education and experience
