Job Description

The town of Tewksbury seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Town Planner/Conservation Agent to assist in administrative and technical support functions for the Conservation Commission. Responsible for ensuring compliance with state and local environmental regulations and bylaws. Administers and oversees grants received from public or private entities. Maintains and improves the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control. Requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, public administration or a related field; three years of experience in municipal land use practices and procedures, including environmental permitting or any equivalent combination of education. GIS experience is desirable but not required. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. Salary $68,676 – $93,443 (FY26); $70,393 – 95,779 (FY27) with full benefits.
