The town of Marshfield Select Board invites candidates to learn about the opportunity to be the next Town Administrator, who serves as the day-to-day leader of the municipality. We are seeking a dynamic, forward thinking Town Administrator to lead our municipal operations and help us navigate a new era of fiscal planning and community development.
Job Responsibility:
Oversight and management of the daily operations of town government and implement Select Board policies
Develop and manage the annual budget, including all detail of revenues, expenditure, enterprise accounts, debt services, and capital expenditures to ensure alignment with long term financial forecasts
Engage with residents, businesses and regional partners to foster transparency and trust
Execution of Select Board decisions and implementation of Select Board goals and priorities
Oversees and manages procurement activities in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of five to seven years of professional experience
Strong financial acumen
MCPPO certified within one year
Ability to manage complex budgets
Nice to have:
Master's degree
Managerial experience in a municipal or public position with similar responsibility and complexity
