The town of Danvers is seeking a forward-thinking, solution driven Town Accountant to perform professional, supervisory work in the day-to-day management of the Accounting Department. The Town Accountant maintains and audits the municipal accounting system and administers internal/external financial reporting in discharging the duties of the office. As Town Accountant, you will perform highly responsible duties requiring independent judgment and initiative in problem solving, organizing, and directing the work of the department; and in the enforcement of federal, state and local laws, town bylaws, departmental policies, and with adherence to professional accounting standards.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
five to seven years of experience in accounting, of which at least three-plus years are in municipal accounting
