Job Description:

See Plymouth is seeking a strategic, and visionary Executive Director to work with an experienced staff that, under the direction of two boards, promotes the tourism destination of the county and town of Plymouth to domestic and international audiences. This person also heads up the Plymouth County Regional Tourism Council, one of 16 councils in the Commonwealth working in conjunction of the MA Office of Travel and Tourism to promote economic development through tourism.

Job Responsibility:

Work with an experienced staff to promote the tourism destination of the county and town of Plymouth to domestic and international audiences
Head up the Plymouth County Regional Tourism Council
Lead the work using research and metrics to ensure solid decisions
Champion the organizations’ missions
Lead the development of strategies on the organizations’ core priority areas
Ensure that the Plymouth County Development Council and Destination Plymouth Boards, their Partners, and Members achieve shared performance outcomes
Balance internal management with external impact and visibility
Ensure financial health and stability
Build partnerships to maximize the organization’s influence and activities
Provide the leadership, vision and strategic planning necessary to leverage tourism opportunities in the region
Work collaboratively with partners on many levels
