Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Total Rewards Specialist. This position is based in Australia. You will be part of the Total Rewards (TR) team with primary responsibility for supporting Australia and New Zealand. The role may evolve over time to rotate/support other countries within the Asia Pacific geography. The broad responsibilities of the team includes planning, designing, developing, analyzing, communication and implementing TR strategies and programs consistent with business and HR strategies. Using both internal and external data, we benchmark and model changes to various reward elements such as base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, health and welfare, and retirement programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct benchmarking exercises, research data sources and analyze trends to make recommendations for TR programs including salary structure reviews
  • Manage country benefit programs and policies e.g. renewals, enrolment, launches and communications
  • Participate in external and regulatory surveys and analyze survey, employee, and financial data
  • Participate in external forums to gather insights on TR practices. Keep abreast of country trends and continually assess the competitiveness of in-country programs and offerings
  • Drive and coordinate wellbeing programs
  • Manage consultants, vendors and employees in a heavily matrixed organization to ensure program delivery
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify and resolve business issues or address team member concerns. Act as escalation point and provide support to employees and managers for complex cases. Propose improvements to existing process or practices if needed
  • Engage and educate team members and managers on compensation or benefits programs. Provide advisory support as the rewards expert for the countries
  • Monitor and regularly review all TR programs, policies and practices to ensure relevance and also compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in other HR projects as required

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of compensation and benefits experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in experience
  • Experience managing rewards programs
  • Developed knowledge of the local legal and regulatory environment as it relates to employee compensation and benefits
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Possess high level of integrity. Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent negotiation and partnership skills to persuade and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Able to exercise informed and independent judgement while keeping within internal philosophy and frameworks
