A leading technology organization is seeking a highly experienced Remote Total Rewards Consultant to serve in an interim VP-level capacity. This individual will provide strategic leadership and advisory support across compensation, benefits, and broader Total Rewards functions during a period of organizational change and growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable Total Rewards strategies within complex, fast-paced environments. This role requires an executive-level consultant who can operate both strategically and tactically, partnering closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment between business objectives and people strategy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve in an interim VP-level advisory capacity for Total Rewards strategy and execution
  • Provide strategic guidance across compensation, benefits, and broader rewards philosophy and programs
  • Evaluate and enhance existing Total Rewards frameworks to support scalability, equity, and market competitiveness
  • Partner with executive leadership, HR, and Finance teams to support organizational priorities and workforce planning
  • Lead or support large-scale compensation and job architecture initiatives, including role evaluation and leveling frameworks
  • Conduct market benchmarking and provide data-driven recommendations on compensation structures and reward programs
  • Support integration, transformation, or optimization initiatives as needed within Total Rewards
  • Develop executive-level presentations and recommendations to inform decision-making
  • Ensure alignment of Total Rewards programs with organizational culture, business strategy, and compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or HR Leadership roles
  • Prior experience in VP-level or senior consulting roles within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strong expertise in compensation design, job evaluation, and market benchmarking methodologies
  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise-level Total Rewards programs or transformations
  • Ability to influence and advise executive stakeholders in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with advanced Excel and modeling capabilities
  • Experience within technology, high-growth, or global organizations strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
