This role is responsible for working closely with other teams to understand requirements and define, deploy, and improve testing environments at each stage of software development life cycle. Engineers II implement quality assurance objectives and processes, monitor and evaluate testing results against the predetermined objectives, and apply recommended actions for improvements. They work on medium to complex testing tasks within multiple development environments and needing multiple areas of testing technology competency. They assist in translating the functional requirements into designing testing environments, making test plans, and monitoring quality KPIs. They also troubleshoot medium complexity software quality issues and ensure testing is done as per plan.
Job Responsibility:
Design, develop, and implement automated workflows and processes using appropriate tools and technologies
Write and maintain scripts and code necessary for automation using programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Integrate automated solutions with existing systems and platforms to ensure seamless operations
Collaborate with development teams to ensure compatibility and performance of automation systems
Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality and performance of automated systems
Identify and resolve issues or bugs in automation scripts and processes
Monitor automated systems to ensure they are functioning as expected
Perform regular maintenance and updates to automation systems to improve reliability and efficiency
Create and maintain detailed documentation of automation processes, scripts, and configurations
Prepare reports and presentations on automation initiatives and outcomes for stakeholders
Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency through automation
Stay updated with the latest automation technologies and industry trends to recommend new tools and practices
Requirements:
2+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in system/software quality and testing
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Proven experience with automation tools and technologies (TOSCA, Selenium, Jenkins)
Excellent ability to self-manage and assertive communication
Proactive individual with an ability to contribute to organization automation process improvements and best practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
Familiarity with Test management Tools (ALM Octane, QC, JIRA)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience
