Job Description:

This opportunity is for a highly skilled technical professional to support the Topsides project division of an international energy company. The role exists to coordinate and manage engineering across multiple offshore brownfield projects, including revamping, maintenance, new projects and infills. The position is pivotal within Topsides transverse team, focused on optimising topsides engineering, overseeing contractor performance, and facilitating seamless project execution from FEED to handover.

Job Responsibility:

  • Organise and develop a responsive engineering team, coordinating activities, procedures, and resource prioritisation for optimum delivery across projects
  • Oversee and follow up on all engineering studies and supervise contractor activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality requirements, budget, schedule, and safety standards
  • Facilitate interface management between internal technical packages, contractor teams, and external stakeholders such as auditors and shareholder representatives
  • Lead audits, technical reviews, and project meetings, establishing clear communication lines to flag risks and escalate technical issues where required
  • Support the management of procurement, vendor documentation, call-for-tender activities, and proactive contract change control during execution phases
  • Capture and disseminate lessons learned, ensuring knowledge transfer within the company and integration of feedback from similar projects

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas sector with a strong background in offshore brownfield projects, engineering, and project operations
  • Fluency in English
  • Proven leadership in engineering team management within complex, multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on quality, HSEQ, and interface management
  • Experience managing engineering follow-up, documentation, and ensuring compliance with operational requirements and regulatory standards
  • Ability to work autonomously, motivate teams, and foster positive working relationships across international and multicultural settings

Additional languages such as Portuguese or French are an advantage
