The Tools and Equipment Controller is responsible for working within a small team to provide and maintain the tooling and equipment required for aircraft maintenance in accordance with the maintenance plan, ensuring full compliance with all relevant company, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain Quality standards to CAA/FAA requirements
Maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Legislation associated with this area
Work within H&S guidelines to effect safe environment
Responsible for updating, amending and storing all compliance data associated with items of tooling and equipment
Responsible for maintenance and integrity of tooling to supplier or governing body requirements
Liaise with other departments within BAMC and LHR for all items required for aircraft in work
Continuous Improvement and 5 S techniques
Requirements:
Proficient in all aspects of compliance to tooling standards
Understanding of inventory control IT solutions e.g. Cribmaster
Good communication skills
The ability to challenge, inspire, enable and encourage change in the business
Sound knowledge of H&S procedures
Strong engineering background or Formal Apprenticeship in a related discipline
Experience of inventory control and T&E control IT solutions eg SAP and Cribmaster
Experience of tooling / ground equipment
A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at grade C or above, including English and Maths
