Job Description

We’re working with a precision aerospace manufacturer looking for a Toolmaker/Centreless Grinder. If you’ve run Wickman, Ghiringhelli, Cincinnati or Tschudin machines and know what good looks like, this is worth a conversation.

Job Responsibility

  • Setting and running manual centreless grinders
  • Working to tight aerospace tolerances
  • Reading drawings and inspecting your own work
  • Using micrometres confidently (no guessing)
  • Supporting 2nd ops where needed (thread rolling, deburring etc.)
  • Reducing scrap and keeping machines running efficiently
  • Hitting output without compromising quality

Requirements

  • Strong manual centreless grinding experience (non-negotiable)
  • Aerospace or high-spec precision background preferred
  • Confident working independently
  • Attention to detail — this isn’t rough machining
  • Team player who doesn’t need chasing
