Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Tooling Specialist (f/m) to join our Tooling team based in Toulouse, France. You will join the tooling team at the St-Eloi site, working on the essential tools required for the manufacturing and assembly of engine pylons for all Airbus programs. At the heart of production, you will manage tools for complex metallic sub-assemblies involving sheet metal work, machining, and assembly. As a central point of contact, you will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Quality, Production, and Procurement, as well as external tooling partners. You will take responsibility for the success of your projects by following internal processes while meeting safety, quality, cost, and lead-time requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Managing series and project affairs according to the FU.IN.03.02 process, from customer need analysis to final delivery
Acting as the Finance Focal Point by leading the costing methodology for all ODYMJJ projects (FTE, OPEX, planning) and managing workload/capacity analysis
Providing high-level oversight of all projects, delivering key information to the MFT to validate internal GO/NO GO decisions
Supporting CAPEX and OPEX strategies, including master data analysis, audit support, and coordinating with expenditure managers
Monitoring targets and actuals against the budget, ensuring high-level tracking of financial performance across multiple cost centers
Training and mentoring specialized service providers to ensure the continuity of OPEX management
Validating and installing tools, which may require occasional travel within France or abroad
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in tooling within the aerospace industry
At least 5 years of experience in project management
Proficiency in CATIA V5, SAP, and MS Office
Technical expertise in functional dimensioning and tolerancing
Technical expertise in ergonomics and safety standards
Prior knowledge of the St-Eloi factory is a significant advantage
Recognized for rigor, proactivity, and ability to communicate effectively within a team and with clients
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Intermediate level of English
Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity
