Job Description

Tooling Buyer is responsible for the strategic sourcing, procurement and Management of tooling related activities on a global level. This role ensures optimal cost, quality and delivery performance by working closely with internal stake holders and approved suppliers worldwide. Strong technical understanding of tooling (e.g. injection molds, Die, Jigs & fixtures) and experience in international supply chain.

Job Responsibility

  • Tooling sourcing globally based on project needs
  • Able to drive global tooling strategies
  • Strategic negotiations with tooling suppliers
  • Pricing control on tool cost elements
  • Conduct e-auctions as per SOP
  • Monitor suppliers performance
  • Conduct suppliers audits and visits when necessary
  • Risk and compliance management
  • Establish global supplier framework agreements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ year of relevant experience in tooling
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and project management skills
  • Experience in working in a global acting Tier 1 Supplier structure
  • Experience in developing, of injection moulds and checking fixtures & ensuring compliance to quality standards
  • Experience with global sourcing, cost analysis and supplier development
