Job Description

Currently Alfa Laval Kraków is looking for TMS Specialist who will be responsible for maintaining and working with Transport Management System and Trade Compliance Management.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing and conducting implementations of settings for new Users, Forwarders, Shipping Points and other improvements into the TCM and TMS system
  • Daily work across integrated Transport Management System environments such as nEXt, Carrier Connect, Carrier Select, ASM and TCM
  • Support ongoing development and verify changes through rigorous testing
  • Managing Microsoft Azure DevOps assign Features, User stories and Tasks and actively participating in Daily Stand-up meetings
  • Support of daily work in TMS for LCT’s Operations Department aimed at generating optimal consignments
  • Initiate, manage and support problem solving, improvements and activities
  • Acting as first and main point of contact for internal customers, freight forwarders and other stakeholders in case of issues within the TCM and TMS system
  • Secure standardized work & SOP
  • Analyzing, creating and maintaining processes documentation and training materials for users
  • Participate in ALPS / Lean Six Sigma / 5S and other Operations initiatives within the unit
  • Conducting of other tasks and instructions related to ALPS Supply chain assigned by manager
  • Maintain data related to sanctions, export licenses and sanctioned products based on need
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders about news, updates and incidents
  • Manage change requests, including doing configurations to be compliant with the export control and trade sanction policy

Requirements

  • Experience with use of different IT systems (ERP, TMS or similar)
  • 3-5 years of experience from export company and/or freight forwarding industry – preferably within international business
  • Excellent qualifications in English – spoken and written
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • MS office user skills
  • Experience from improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and provide practical solutions promptly

Nice to have

Knowledge of Export Control and Trade Sanctions is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
