We are looking for a Title Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Plano, Texas on a permanent, salaried basis. In this fully on-site role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with lending guidelines and maintaining high-quality standards for loan files. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering precise and thorough underwriting services within the financial services industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluate loan files submitted by broker clients for adherence to VA, conventional, and organizational lending guidelines
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for loan structuring and income verification to ensure approvals are finalized effectively
  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis and process files for final approval on a daily basis
  • Verify that loans meet investor requirements and align with established quality control standards
  • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with underwriting policies
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to address any discrepancies or missing information in loan files
  • Stay updated on changes in lending regulations and underwriting requirements
  • Ensure timely processing of loan files to meet organizational deadlines
  • Provide expert guidance on complex loan scenarios, including jumbo and FHA loans

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in mortgage loan underwriting within the financial services sector
  • Expertise in evaluating jumbo loans and FHA underwriting processes
  • Strong knowledge of residential loan underwriting standards
  • Familiarity with installment loan structures and related underwriting procedures
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
