Job Description

On behalf of our public utility client, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented Timekeeper to support a fast-paced District Office team within a large utility organization. This team plays a critical role in supporting field operations, including frontline employees, first responders, construction teams, engineers, compliance staff, and inspectors. This position is ideal for someone with strong data entry and timekeeping experience who thrives in a structured, high-volume administrative environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform daily timekeeping functions, including accurate data entry and record maintenance
  • Support payroll-related processes by ensuring time records are entered and tracked correctly
  • Maintain and update employee timekeeping systems with a high level of accuracy
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as documentation, reporting, and data tracking
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including union and non-union staff, to ensure timely and accurate information flow
  • Provide general administrative support to the District Office as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in timekeeping, payroll support, bookkeeping, or administrative support with time entry responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, data-heavy tasks with accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working in operations, construction, utilities, or similar environments
  • Familiarity with timekeeping or workforce management systems
