Our client is seeking a Time Management Representative / Specialist for an immediate need within their Payroll Operations team. This is a long-term contract opportunity (1+ year) with hybrid flexibility (3 days onsite / 2 days remote – Tuesday and Friday remote) and a 9/80 work schedule. The ideal candidate will bring strong timekeeping system experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid understanding of payroll and pay policy administration for large employee populations. This role goes beyond basic time entry — it requires someone who understands how timekeeping impacts payroll processing, compliance, and policy interpretation across complex shift structures.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure timely processing and validation of payroll time data for large populations of salaried exempt/non-exempt and hourly employees (2,000+ employees)
Sustain a Center of Excellence focused on U.S. dollar timekeeping, work schedule standardization, wage codes, and pay practices
Conduct time entry audits aligned with payroll deadlines to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable wage & hour laws
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and supervisor inquiries related to time entry, overtime, premium pay, and pay policies
Research, validate, and process prior-period adjustments and off-schedule changes (e.g., training attendance rosters)
Analyze complex shift structures including 8-hour, 10-hour, 12-hour rotating “Dupont style,” and 9/80 schedules
Perform data reconciliation and reporting using advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)
Import/export and analyze large data sets between Excel and timekeeping systems
Liaise with HR, Payroll, and HRMS teams to resolve time-related discrepancies
Support annual audits and assist with system release testing
Requirements:
3+ years of payroll or timekeeping experience supporting large employee populations
Strong understanding of pay policies including overtime, premium time, and wage code application
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs required)
Experience reconciling high-volume time data with strong attention to detail
Ability to independently analyze, identify, and resolve discrepancies within timekeeping systems
Strong communication skills and ability to counsel employees and supervisors on pay-related questions
High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice to have:
Experience with Workforce Solutions timekeeping system
Experience with Employee Central Payroll or SAP payroll processing
Knowledge of FLSA, SOX, and wage & hour laws
Payroll certification or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
