Job Description:

As a Timber Mill Hand Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Timber Mill Hands and Benchman to keep operations running smoothly. From sorting and processing timber to helping produce Cross Arms and custom-made Timber Pallets, your contribution will help ensure safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with all aspects of mill operations to meet customer orders
  • Support quality control across production area
  • Sort and merchandise timber for further processing
  • Process, pack, and prepare materials to fulfil orders
  • Help minimise material wastage and maintain a clean, safe workspace

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in timber mill operations or similar industry (desirable)
  • Confidence using hand tools, drills, and basic equipment
  • Possession of a current driver’s licence preferred
  • Possession of a current Forklift licences/certificates are desirable but not essential
  • Committed to undertaking the relevant Security Check(s) and to be issued with and hold Blue Card & Yellow Worker Screening Card during employment with Endeavour Foundation

Nice to have:

  • Experience in timber mill operations or similar industry
  • Possession of a current driver’s licence
  • Possession of a current Forklift licences/certificates
