Job Description:

Full-time Tiler position available in Revesby NSW 2212. Unimat is a reputable and fast-growing tiling and flooring safety specialist based in Sydney. They focus on keeping tile, stone, and other hard-floor surfaces safe and looking their best—providing practical slip testing, anti-slip treatments, sealing, and maintenance solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. With a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and client satisfaction, they’ve built a solid reputation for reliable service, quality workmanship, and results that last. On behalf of Unimat, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Tiler to join their team and contribute for their ongoing success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set out tiling works from plans and site measurements
  • select layouts, falls, trims and movement joints
  • Prepare substrates (grinding, levelling, patching, priming) and, where required, form screeds to achieve correct falls
  • Cut, lay and fix ceramic, porcelain, stone and mosaics to line, level and plumb using appropriate adhesives and systems
  • Grout, silicone and finish edges
  • clean and present completed areas to a professional standard
  • Apply Unimat’s floor-care solutions on hard surfaces (anti-slip treatments, sealers, re-sealing/maintenance)
  • Support slip-resistance outcomes by preparing areas for testing and rectifying non-conformances to target P-ratings
  • Perform surface restoration/cleaning (machine scrub, degrease, stain removal) prior to sealing/treatments
  • Safely handle tools, plant and chemicals
  • maintain equipment and vehicle stock to manufacturer/WHS standards
  • Protect adjacent finishes, maintain tidy work zones, and liaise professionally with clients/site managers
  • Complete job sheets, photos and QA records
  • report variations, defects and additional rectification needs

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Wall & Floor Tiling (Certificate III or equivalent)
  • At least 1 year of proven work experience as a tiler
  • Strong substrate prep skills (grind, level, patch, prime) and safe use of tile saws/grinders/scrubbers
  • WHS First mindset, tidy work habits, and clear communications with clients/site manager
  • Reliable, organised, able to work independently or lead a small crew
  • willing to travel between sites

Nice to have:

Waterproofing licence or experience with sealers/anti-slip treatments highly desirable
