Thoracic Surgeon - Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a Thoracic Surgeon with expertise in all aspects of general thoracic surgery to join our practice within the Section of Thoracic Surgery. Surgeons at all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Contribution to program growth, multidisciplinary clinical leadership, and the academic development of a high-volume cancer program are necessary. Leadership opportunities are available for mid-career applicants. This faculty position includes the broad practice of general thoracic surgery and thoracic surgical oncology, including all aspects of esophageal disease, both benign and malignant, lung, chest wall and mediastinum. Candidates should have substantial experience in minimally invasive approaches to surgery, including robotic surgery. Strong commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care, clinical outcomes, research and education are desired. Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is the Southeast patient care hub for the MD Anderson Cancer Network®, in partnership with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and a premier program of the Baptist Health System. The thoracic surgery program is based at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, a 529-bed tertiary referral hospital serving one of the fastest-growing regions in Florida.
