As a Thermal Plastic Fabricator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing operations by expertly fabricating and assembling thermal plastic components used in high-performance aerospace and defence applications. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will directly impact the quality and reliability of our products.
Job Responsibility:
Fabricate and assemble thermal plastic parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications
Operate specialised equipment including heat guns, ovens, and vacuum forming machines to shape and join plastics
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve fabrication processes and resolve technical issues
Maintain accurate records of materials used, fabrication processes, and quality inspections
Ensure a clean, safe, and organised working environment adhering to health and safety regulations
Participate in training and development to stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Thermal Plastic Fabricator or in a similar manufacturing/fabrication role
Strong knowledge of thermal plastic materials, fabrication techniques, and equipment operation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail to achieve precise fabrication outcomes
Understanding of quality control procedures and commitment to producing defect-free work
Familiarity with health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Relevant vocational qualifications in fabrication, plastics technology, or a related discipline are advantageous
